It's ever so ironic that I posted about my strep throat picture the other day because now I believe I'm getting it. The hurty peanut in my throat feeling came last night, so I left a early from work. My doc man can't get me in until tomorrow morning at 8:30, so now I'll be missing tonight. I just need the antibiotics to kill this thing in case it plans on turning into the horrible den of flaming horrible that it usually turns into. My lands I strongly dislike throat ailments.

Okay, it wasn't total garbage. I'm glad Kelly Clarkson and Sandra Bullock won, but the rest of the show was a bullshit publicity extravaganza for the shitty shows that are on TV right now. I'm sorry, Two and a Half Men is not funny no matter how much money they spend to tell me it is. Granted, they didn't win anything, but they sure did talk about it a lot and puppet that little kid around on stage a lot. Shove off! How can the stupid ass television executives get rid of a show like Firefly and keep trying to shove Two and a Half Men down our throats? It's obscene!! And, I didn't see the movie, but I can't imagine how it was even nominated for anything. Hitch. Maybe I'm completely wrong, but it didn't look that great and I haven't had hordes of people telling me how funny it was. I've had no people tell me how funny it was. Either I have higher standards for movies to get nominated for big awards or the movie/tv scene has had a horrible drought that leaves us with no choice but to nominate works that are so-so.
Or maybe I'm becoming a snob. I'm not entirely ashamed to admit that I laugh at prop comedy now and then. Only after I've been buttered up by some seriously funny wit. Anyway, I just wanted to clarify my statement about the People's Choice Awards. They're fixed. People haven't chosen that trash. I don't believe it for one second.

I was just reading Alison's rant about her issues with her cellphone provider when MCI called me on my land line. I've probably said this before, but we never even use that line and I don't even know the phone number for it, so anytime it rings, it's a salesperson and I know. Normally I just pick it up and hang up, but occasionally I'll actually answer it. I love it when phone companies call to try to get me to switch because I say "I only pay $14 a month" they always say "Thank you for your time" and hang up. Either $14 a month isn't worth a sales pitch or they can't offer me a lower price. In my oddworld being able to get them to shutup that way is so much more powerful than any other method. Well, not counting picking up and hanging up.
And then I found five dollars.

I've turned comments on again. We'll see how that works out.
[edit] Apparently it won't be working out at all. I'm not fudging with it, so you can just use the comment flobberoggle thing down at the bottom of the page.

Pink Martini is wonderful. I'm glad I got it. You can listen to all of their songs on their website. They're very old school sounding. And by old school, I mean 1920's-1940's. Lovely.
Work is going swimmingly. Although, tonight I think I might be experiencing the beginning pains of a cavity. That makes me very sad.
I think we're going this weekend to hang out with my family on my dads side. We always do a Chinese Christmas and celebrate my Papa's birthday around this time of year. I'm looking forward to it.
Ow.
