Copying from Alison, of the top 100 movies on Internet Movie Database (IMDB), the bold ones are the ones I've seen. Like her I'll add a lot of these to my Netflix list. A few of them are already on my Netflix list! Crazy! I've seen 51 of the 100. I'm surprised I haven't seen more of those oldies. I used to watch them all the time with my mom and now about every third movie in my Netflix queue are pre-1960. Weird.

Mom said:
And Happy Birthday to our Marissa. 27 years ago you were just 1 1/2 hrs old and I was out like a light.

That's funny and a little creepy to think about. Thanks 2k4 for a super year! I don't really feel that old. :)

Thanks mom and everyone else who wished me a happy bday. I had a good one. :)

Here's one of my best birfday presents today. ISN'T HE THE MOST PRECIOUS?!?!

Okay, so I've lacked in the update department myself lately. I tell myself and others that it's because I'm forcing my sisters in blogging to recognize the trauma that is lack of content. The truth is, I've been lazy.

But today is a very special day indeed. According to several emails from forums I no longer visit, it is my birthday and they were so kind to remind me. I am one year older than I was last year at this time. And this time last year seems a thousand years away, so I guess it's good it has only been 365 days. Today I am twenty-seven. Rapping ever so lightly at that thirtieth door. And running away quickly when I hear the door knob quiver. When it is that time, I will be happy to enter the era, but not yet. And now I'm done with deep thought and very few contractions. The grammar, not the baby.

Hope everyone is doing well. Today I'm going to be carefree and happy, yo. And Benjamin James Hampton called me Marissa McWatergun and that made me happy.

Done.

My sisters in blogging are all severely lacking in content. You know who I'm talking to. Snap to!

This doesn't surprise me, as I was witness to many of the activities mentioned and even took part in a few. (Sorry parentals.) Does it honestly surprise anyone? That the honor roll students smoke pot now? What does surprise me is that only 40% +/- of students had tried it. I'm confident that number is a lot higher. (No pun intended.) How many of you are surprised? Really.. I'm curious to know if I think the way I do because I hung around a lot of people that smoked or if it really is as prevalent as I think it is. The last 4 jobs that I've had, most of my coworkers smoked regularly. And I'm not just talking about the waitressing jobs either. :)

Oh p.s. Someone I know might have a virus. I'm getting tons of emails with attachments. If you're reading this please make sure your anti-virus program is updated and then have it scan your system, thank you!

Here's the latest picture of Sadee. Since Andra can't get her picture posting program to work. Bloop! I didn't know I have a "cute button nose." That's neat.

Tim took this picture and posted it in his photoblog. I wrote a little poem about it and I think it's kinda funny.

Little mesquite tree, how I do not miss thee.
You remind of times that are now history.
With your branches all sharp, ones legs you could maul.
Oh, I've cussed you before, you stole my golf ball.
I ask that you stay in West Texas land.
I grew up with you. You'd scratch up my hand.
I've moved on, dear tree, away from your spur.
And into Hill Country, with the mighty Cedar.
So thanks for the scars and memories of pain.
I won't soon forget, you taught me to aim.

And yes. I play golf.

I suppose I'll update. I need to be in bed and I'll get to that soon. I just wanted to update on the NON SMOKER front here. From the day I posted that, I didn't actually completely quit. I've quickly tapered off though, so I'm still doing really well. I started out just having 2 a day, then a few days later, just 1 a day, now I'm all the way up to having none for 2 or 3 days. I'm pretty proud of myself. And I know I'm already at the point where I could just not ever have one again, habit wise, but I still get urges pretty regularly. In the past, I've made it a few days and then broke down and bought a pack telling myself I'd only smoke one. Then I'd start again. So I'm thinking, if I just set a concrete goal for how long I have to wait before my next one, it's a lot easier. Right now I can't have another one til Wednesday night after 9:30. That puts me at 72 hours. Then my next one will be Sunday afternoon sometime after 12:30. See how that works? It's all about specifying goals for myself, so I never get that panick "OH MY GOD I CAN'T EVER SMOKE AGAIN" feeling.

At any rate, I'm pretty proud of myself. Adam is proud of me too and that makes me feel really good. I can sort of smell some stuff a little better, but we haven't decided if that's because I wasn't around the scent or if I just couldn't smell it. Things still taste the same. I do have a little more energy on some days. Then others, I don't have much at all, so who knows if that really changed.

Not a whole lot else to talk about. My birthday is coming up soon. I'm getting old. (Shutup)

Okay Adam is clearing his throat. I better go to bed. Night!
