I've been spending time reading blogs that I either haven't read in a long time or that I've never seen. It's nice to do that. That's all...

It's aliiive!! Sorry for the downtime. Remember last year when my domain expired and the domain was under my hosting company and they didn't renew it? Yeah.... happened again. That shouldn't happen anymore though because I got it switched to my domain account and it's on autorenew. Hurray. Anyway, that's that. All is well.
I like this article. It's pretty true. Of course, the majority of my college time was paid for by my scholarship. My second go 'round was courtesy Sallie Mae, so I'm paying that off slowly. Of course there's also the tiny fact that I quit both times. A big problem I have with this is that every young person in America is pushed directly into college because that's the only way to be successful. I think it's a bullshit money pit because the majority of things I learned in the 4 years I was there had no applicable value in the real world. Any job you get after college will have to train you, regardless of how much "education" you have. You'll spend two or three months learning how to do the job and if you were smart enough to get through college, you could've probably done the exact same thing without that diploma in your hand. Really, the only thing I learned at the second school was that I definitely didn't want to do that for a living, one year and $8,000 later. Add to all of that the fact that a college diploma doesn't even mean you WILL get a decent job. In the end, it's just all a waste, IMHO. You end up spending most of the rest of your life paying back for something that will never deliver what is promised.
Again, this is just my opinion, based on personal experience and observation of others. There are some lucky people out there who get superb jobs and can pay off their student loans in a few years.

Wedding date possibly changed to July 17. Reasons: Adam and I are huge geeks. I'll get into that later. Confirmation coming soon.

I got to see Misti and Amanda today. Though the circumstances were not the greatest, it was still good to see the two of them. As well as baby Davis. He's growing a bit. I'm still adjusting to this new human who gets to automatically be a part of our little group by default. When he gets older, I'll explain to him how much fun his mother and I had back in the day. But those stories will be about times like stealing reflectors off the side of the road. The stories that don't involve any alcohol. Those will have to wait til he's much older and out of the range of influence. Ah, how we will laugh...
Anywho, to Misti and Amanda and any other member of the Matthews clan who reads this, my heart is with you. Rest in due peace, Nana. Tell Pa we said hello. :)

Okay, so I guess this is in the clear to talk about now. Adam and I are getting married. Our date for now is planned for late July. This has been in talks for a bit now and now that we've cussed and discussed everything with parental units, I s'pose we can release this beast of news to the public. I'm very excited to be married and live my life with Adam, but I'm not so incredibly excited to go through all the wedding plan thingies. Originally, I had a great idea of going to the Bahamas and doing one of those cheap wedding package things so everyone I invited could have a good time and we wouldn't have to do a lot of the evil "planning." Unfortunately, those little cheap packages are a lot more expensive than I expected, so that's out. I think we've basically decided on a small church thing. Probably in Andrews. That'll be easier for Misti to get to, with Davis and all. And it's super important to me that she be there. And all my cousins and friends. ............. Ooooh here I go again with the plans.........
Anyway, that's my big news. And that's sort of why I've been rather quiet lately. That and Gunbound.

I've been playing a decent amount of Gunbound lately, thanks to Joe. At first, I hated it. But now, not so much. I'm getting a little better. If you have the game or if you get it, my name in game is PixieDee.

I really shouldn't be awake right now. But I am. I'm enjoying a nice beverage. Grape Fanta. This blog is in another one of its almost dying phases. Sorry. Maybe later? K.
